I graduated from Chatham University, focusing my graduate coursework on Creative Writing with additional study in research and travel, which I had the opportunity to complete in Costa Rica and Ecuador. My undergraduate Bachelor of Arts studies also centered on writing and the fine arts. I have been an instructor at the college level in English, English as a Second Language, and Visual Arts, and tutored essay writing travel writing, poetry, ESL, and college preparation skills to middle school, high school, and collegiate students. Two years ago I left the teaching world and am currently establishing a career in the arts field. I maintain a strong passion for teaching and interacting with individual students and their academic goals to show them how rewarding writing can be. From developing a student's own particular style, helping him or her understand the mechanics of writing, or offering help in general organizational skills and execution, I strive to ensure each student gleans the most possible from a lesson and turns that knowledge into success in their academic and personal lives. My hobbies and interests include writing, sci-fi TV, going on hikes, ice skating, and traveling.
